Westminster Bridge at Sunset (11)

Westminster Bridge at Sunset
di Patrizia Ilaria Sechi

big ben

Westminster Bridge at Sunset
by Patrizia Ilaria Sechi

It is an afternoon in December.

The thick blanket of fog that had enveloped the Westminster Bridge for days, making the Victoria Tower appear magically suspended on a silver, wispy cloud, has now been dissipated by the wind.

The clock hands of the Big Ben mark half past four.

It’s the time of day when the Sun seems to embrace the moon for an instant at least, before the splendour of its rays dissolves into the shadow.

The Moon alone remains to softly enlighten the night, like the flame of a candle lit to illuminate the world, revealing, with maternal clemency, only its magic.

A light clouds shade the blue sky with soft purple waves; an intense coral pink inflames the horizon, with nuances of colour that recall a painting on silk.

The light of dusk…

draws the Gothic spires of Westminster Palace and the elegant silhouettes of the streetlights along the bridge.

This is the charm of the last sunset in December, taken from the Southbank, while shooting among the festive atmosphere that animates the Christmas market along the Thames.

This shot, entitled “Westminster Bridge at Sunset”, appears accompanied by the magical sounds of the song “The Man Who Loved the Dragons” by Maestro Lorenzo Pescini, in the video “London – Bridge of Emotions”.
The editing of the video is by the artist Sandro Sansone.

I wish you an enjoyable listening and vision.
